For the person who ran slower than last week. The student who got a C after studying for days. The entrepreneur whose numbers went backwards. The athlete coming back from injury. The person in therapy who has a bad week after three good ones. The human being who holds themselves to standards that don't leave room for the messy, non-linear reality of actual growth.
Progress is almost never a straight line. It dips. It doubles back. It pauses. It zigzags. And every single point on that line — the dips and the peaks — is data. Every point is movement. Every point counts.
Absolutely everything is progress. The good days. The bad days. The days you barely survive. All of it.
